School Occupational Therapist - Cicero, Illinois

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Experience working with pediatric populations or school-aged children, 3-22 years old
• Familiarity with school-based therapy, IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to serve a varied caseload and excellent organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in a school environment
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to optimize student achievement
• Document evaluations, treatment notes, and progress in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Facilitate student participation in academic and daily routines, recommending appropriate modifications and supports
• Support positive, inclusive practices, and respond to the unique needs of each student
