Occupational Therapist
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the 2025/2026 school year.
Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:
* Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
* New Mexico Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L)
* Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures
* Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs
* Successful therapy experience in educational setting preferred.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.
* BLS/CPR Cert.
Job :
* Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location
* Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
* Contract through the 2025/2026 school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week
* Contract follows the academic district calendar
Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:
* Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
* Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
* Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
* Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Salary:
* $1,600.00 - $1,800.00 per week
