Travel Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience for a day shift assignment supporting both evaluations and treatment.

• Acute care hospital setting with occasional assistance in inpatient rehabilitation
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Primary responsibility is conducting evaluations, supporting treatment sessions, and overseeing COTAs
• Floating to similar units within occupational therapy scope as needed
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Complete evaluations and provide oversight to COTAs including care plan guidance
• May provide treatment and float to inpatient rehab as facility needs dictate
• Brief unit orientation provided upon floating
• Maximum of 3 days requested time off will be automatically approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted
• Modules and orientation will be completed onsite during the initial training period
• Scrub or dress code details will be provided prior to assignment
• Only individual travelers are considered for this position

• Active KS Occupational Therapist license or compact equivalent required in hand
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Locals within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
