Occupational Therapist

A renowned healthcare community located in Lowell, MA, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team at a facility specializing in memory care and brain injury rehabilitation. This opportunity involves working with a dedicated team in a setting that emphasizes long-term care. About the Opportunity: Hybrid or Remote: On-site Shift: Day Schedule: Monday to Friday, with one weekend rotation Hours: Full-time or part-time, consistent weekly schedule Setting: Community for memory care and brain injury, including a large Huntington's Disease population Responsibilities: The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for: Providing and directing rehabilitation care based on accepted practice standards Evaluating resident needs and establishing effective treatment plans Coordinating treatment plans with staff and other disciplines Participating in resident screenings as scheduled Providing feedback on clinical and rehabilitation issues Qualifications: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy Current and active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts Experience with older adult rehabilitation preferred Familiarity with government and regulatory guidelines in healthcare settings Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours Compassionate approach to patient care Team-oriented mindset Desired Skills: Experience in older adult rehabilitation Knowledge of healthcare regulations Proficiency with NetHealth EMR system Strong problem-solving skills Compassionate patient care abilities Please note this is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment.
