Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, care teams, families, and caregivers to ensure a unified therapeutic approach.
  • Provide guidance and educational resources to patients and their families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation complying with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in continuous learning through professional development opportunities and peer interactions.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
