Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and skillful observational techniques.
  • Design tailored treatment plans that align with both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies to facilitate progress outside of clinical visits.
  • Support occasional inpatient assessments and therapies to ensure patient continuity throughout their rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain meticulous, timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your initial month of employment.
