Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients among pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized tests and observation methodologies.
• Design tailored treatment plans targeting both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Provide individualized speech therapy concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Partner with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to coordinate seamless care strategies.
• Deliver educational support to patients and families, helping extend progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to promote consistent care throughout the treatment journey.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation, in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in professional growth and collaboration by staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
