As a Physical Therapist at Cottage Hospital, you will evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery—helping them reach their functional goals through customized care. Working closely with physicians, nursing staff, and families, you'll implement evidence-based treatment plans, supervise PT Assistants, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care experience. Your work will support patients across the lifespan, with services that may include manual therapy, aquatic therapy, vestibular rehab, and more.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients and develop written, individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
Deliver therapeutic interventions including Graston technique, aquatic therapy, biofeedback, and vestibular rehab.
Reassess patient progress and modify plans as needed; communicate updates to physicians and care teams.
Document all treatments and outcomes in accordance with department policy and billing requirements.
Provide education to patients, families, and nursing staff to support continued recovery and safety.
Supervise and coordinate care with Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and students.
Incorporate discharge planning and long-term functional goals into care plans.
Ensure services meet the age-specific and psychosocial needs of each patient.
