Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a hospital-based outpatient lymphedema clinic, requiring a Georgia OT license in hand and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in an outpatient rehabilitation department serving primarily lymphedema patients
- Collaborate daily with OTs, OTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, wound care specialists, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors
- Care for young adults through geriatric patients with a mix of diagnoses including lymphedema
- Day shift schedule with options: Monday, Wednesday 9:45 am 6:15 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 am 4:00 pm, or MondayThursday 7:30 am 5:00 pm, Friday 7:30 am 12:00 pm
- No weekends or on-call required
- Floating may be required within the facility and to the nearby acute care inpatient hospital as needed, within scope of practice
- EMR system is Epic; experience is required
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including wound care and lymphedema product vendors
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed; RTO during the first week of assignment is not permitted
- No holiday RTO permitted if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment; if three holidays, traveler may request RTO for one holiday, subject to approval
- Travelers are expected to be available to work major holidays in accordance with assignment period
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Travelers must be away from any Piedmont facility for 1 full year prior to returning as a traveler
- Compliance and orientation modules must be completed before starting; candidates must be able to submit core documents and complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Georgia (must be in hand at time of consideration)
- BLS certification required
- Certification in lymphedema required
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Acute inpatient experience preferred
