Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communicative and swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication skills, language fluency, vocalization, and swallowing.
  • Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to form an integrated care team.
  • Provide invaluable education to patients and family members, empowering them to contribute to progress outside the clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring that care remains seamless throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments through continuous professional education and collaborative mentorship.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
