Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standardized assessments along with clinical observations.
- Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Formulate collaborative care strategies by working closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members.
- Provide education to patients and families to empower them in supporting progress beyond the clinical setting.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for your patients.
- Uphold precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and methodologies in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
