Serving a caseload of 20-25 students, this position focuses mainly on younger students (K-4), with some middle school students requiring targeted speech support. Two students present moderate to severe communication needs, while the majority are part of the regular education program. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to students, primarily in person Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech goals within the classroom setting Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare or educational settings preferred Competency in teletherapy methods beneficial but this role emphasizes in-person service delivery Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) or equivalent experience Ability to manage a caseload with varying levels of speech and language needs Schedule and Location: Position requires 2 to 2.5 days per week during the school year (NSY) Work performed at a K-12 school consisting of two buildings situated close to one another in Chapel Hill, NC Preferred delivery of services onsite to optimize student engagement and outcomes This contract role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled speech-language pathologist to contribute to a dynamic educational community while providing essential speech services to diverse learners.
