School Speech Therapist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Located in Atascadero, CA, this contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized speech and language services within a K-12 school setting on a leave basis. The role involves delivering comprehensive care to students, addressing a variety of speech and language disorders, and supporting their academic and social success. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough evaluations of students presenting with speech and language challenges Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Provide targeted therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language skills Monitor progress carefully and maintain detailed documentation of therapeutic outcomes Collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members to promote coordinated student care Involve and educate families throughout the therapy process to enhance treatment effectiveness Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and family engagement Ability to work independently while also contributing as a team member Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in the respective state Benefits include access to a knowledgeable advisory team staffed with SLP professionals within the state and ongoing support to foster career development.
