Position Summary
RSH Los Angeles is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Travel SLP to join our rehab team. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in diverse adult and geriatric populations. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, adaptability, and a passion for patient-centered care while enjoying the flexibility and excitement of travel assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognition, and swallowing evaluations using standardized tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational/physical therapists, and nursing staff to support holistic recovery plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and patient progress in EMR systems
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and carryover strategies
- Uphold infection control, safety guidelines, and ethical therapy practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California SLP license (or eligible to obtain before start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP)
- ? Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred; travel therapy experience a plus
