Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create personalized treatment plans addressing both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress outside of therapeutic settings.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Continuously expand knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
