American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU and pediatric experience, RRT and ACLS certification, for a Level I Trauma Center night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a NICU and pediatric respiratory therapy department at a Level I Trauma Center
Night shift, 19:00 to 07:30, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
Required to float between two campus locations one block apart, with shuttle transportation provided
Every other weekend required
Adult critical care ventilator cases included
Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred
Preferred experience with Puritan Bennett and Vyaire Avea ventilators
Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity trauma setting
May participate in extracorporeal procedures if experienced
Complete pre-start and annual online modules
Eligible for up to 7 days of approved time off during the contract
Travelers may be required to participate in disaster or emergency response activities
Scrubs or professional attire required per department standards

Requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of NICU or pediatric respiratory therapy experience required
Trauma center and adult critical care ventilator experience required
First-time travelers will be considered
COVID-19 vaccine and booster are required unless medical or religious exemption is granted
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
CT Respiratory Therapist License required if applicable
One professional reference required
Cannot accept candidates who have worked as permanent staff at the facility within the last 2 years
No local candidates within a 75-mile radius
