Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing established assessments and observational methods.
  • Develop customized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives while addressing ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
  • Facilitate individual speech therapy sessions concentrated on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to ensure an integrated care plan is in place.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to aid in their progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy when required to ensure seamless care.
  • Keep precise and timely records that adhere to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and collaborative practices to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
