Professional Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments in Spanish and English
Develop culturally responsive IEP goals and implementation strategies
Deliver virtual therapy sessions in student's preferred language
Collaborate with bilingual educational teams and families
Differentiate between language difference and language disorder
Ensure compliance with ELL and special education speech-language regulations
Facilitate family engagement and home carryover across language barriers
Essential Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Valid Michigan speech-language pathologist license
Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, writing)
Minimum 2 years of school-based SLP experience with diverse populations
Experience with bilingual assessment tools and therapy materials
Cultural competency in Latino/Hispanic communication patterns
Strong technology proficiency for virtual service delivery
