Added - a day agoPhysical Therapist Healthcare & MedicalBaltimore, Maryland | Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehab team in Baltimore, MD. This is a dynamic role ideal for a licensed PT with a strong foundation in neurologic, orthopedic, and cognitive rehabilitation. You will provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment for a diverse caseload in a collaborative hospital environment. Monday to Friday 8am to 530 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed patient assessments, including:
AROM/AAROM/PROM
Strength testing, pain assessment, vital signs
Environmental and equipment evaluations
Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care with defined short- and long-term goals
Treat patients with diagnoses including:
Neurologic (CVA, TBI, cognitive disorders)
Orthopedic (total joint replacements, fractures, spinal conditions)
General acute care needs (preferred experience)
Deliver interventions using:
Gait training, NDT, extremity/spinal mobilization, prosthetic training
Assistive device training (gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, lifts)
Educate patients and families on Home Exercise Programs, safety, and injury prevention
Accurately document all evaluations, daily notes, reassessments, and discharge summaries
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to ensure coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
Required Certifications:
Current Maryland Physical Therapy License
BLS Certification (AHA or equivalent)
Current physical, PPD, Hep C, MMR, FITT test, ability to pass a Background Check at Federal, State and County level, 10 panel Drug Test
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of inpatient or similar rehab experience required
EIPC experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Prior work with neurological and orthopedic populations
Familiarity with cognitive disorders and acute care settings
Proficient in use of mobility and transfer equipment:
Sit-to-stand lift, Hoyer lift, gait belts, sliding boards
Strong time management, communication, and documentation skills
Comfortable working with an average caseload of ~45 patients on unit
