Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment plans tailored to address both immediate goals and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster support for progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition in care throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed about innovative advances in the field through continuous education and professional collaboration.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
