This full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is based in Norfolk, VA, within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on supporting students with a range of behavioral disorders, from functional to inclusion-type settings, and involves working closely as part of a collaborative, team-oriented program with ample support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students exhibiting a variety of behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy approaches to meet students' evolving needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Valid Virginia SLP license or pending license expected to be active by August.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments, especially with students who have behavioral disorders.
- Familiarity with both functional and inclusion settings.
- SLPA experience is an asset.
