Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a K-12 educational setting in Hartford, CT for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations, evidence-based interventions, and collaborative support to students with diverse communication needs. Key responsibilities: Conduct speech and language assessments to identify individual student needs Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies Maintain accurate records and documentation compliant with school and state requirements Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide professional recommendations Support students in accessing the curriculum through appropriate speech and language accommodations and modifications Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) State licensure or certification as a School Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educators Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize responsibilities within a fast-paced educational setting This position offers an opportunity to positively impact student communication development within a supportive school community. Employment is for the full school year under a contract arrangement.
