Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and direct observation.
  • Craft tailored treatment strategies that not only meet immediate challenges but also support ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Administer focused speech therapy sessions addressing communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallow proficiency.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, ensuring streamlined care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families, fostering progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Perform periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth by staying abreast of advancements in the field through education and collaborative efforts with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Satisfactory completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of commencing employment.
