Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups employing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and long-term communication and swallowing needs.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication skills, language clarity, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing mechanics.
  • Engage collaboratively with a dynamic team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education for patients and families, empowering them to support their progress outside of our therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and facility regulations.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.

Education Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not holding ASHA certification.

Licenses & Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment commencement.
