Job Responsibilities

  • Assess patients across the lifespanpediatrics, adults, and geriatricsthrough standardized tests and observational techniques.
  • Create individualized treatment plans to focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing ambitions.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions targeting communication aspects such as language, accent reduction, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources and consultations to patients and their families, supporting their progress outside of your sessions.
  • Conduct assessments and therapy sessions for inpatient care where applicable, ensuring continuity and quality of treatment.
  • Maintain punctual and accurate documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
