This position requires a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a high school setting, either onsite or virtually, supporting students with speech, language, and related disabilities. The assignment is a leave contract from August 11 through September 30, with a work schedule of 35 hours per week (7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.).
Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 60 students across one high school. The caseload primarily involves addressing Specific Learning Disabilities, Speech/Language disorders, and Autism spectrum needs. The role demands consistent collaboration with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications and experience required for this position:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement in Illinois
- Credentials such as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and teletherapy services
- Familiarity with school-based speech and language service delivery
- Ability to effectively manage caseload and provide both onsite and virtual therapy sessions
- Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is an asset
