Description

  • Assess a broad range of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create personalized treatment strategies tailored to both immediate goals and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy focused on various facets of language, fluency, communication, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and families to promote progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee consistency in care throughout each patient's journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Stay at the forefront of the profession by actively participating in continuing education and fostering peer collaboration.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as required for ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
