Role Responsibilities

  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to construct integrated care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to empower progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care journey.
  • Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to remain abreast of field advancements through collaboration and continuing education.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
