Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/18/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RT) Shift: 12-Hour Days (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Schedule: Every other weekend required (EOW) One major holiday required First to float policy in place Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Length of Contract: 13 weeks (91 days) Facility Details: Care Setting: Acute care Trauma Level: Level 2 Division: Allied EMR System: Cerner Unit Coverage: All hospital areas except NICU , including: ER, ICU Pediatric Med-Surg Med-Surg/Telemetry Licensure & Experience Requirements: Licensure: Must hold a valid CA license (RRT required; CRT not accepted) Experience: Travel experience is mandatory 2-5 years in critical care required Certifications Required: BLS ACLS NRP PALS COVID-19 vaccination required NPS certification needed only if working NICU (not required here) Equipment & Skills: Ventilators Used: Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, Galileo Monitoring: GE Telemetry Common Duties: Breathing treatments ABGs, EKGs Non-invasive ventilation High-flow neonatal nasal cannula Interpulmonary percussion Heli-ox, AeroGen nebulizers Support & Staffing: Charge RT: On duty 24/7 RT coverage: 24/7 Pharmacy: 24/7 Hospitalist available 24/7 IV team not available Additional Notes: Floating Required: All units except NICU Scrub Color: Black Schedule: Typically made 3-4 weeks in advance Floor Orientation: 2 days About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
