Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This full-time occupational therapy position is designed for a dedicated professional focused on supporting elementary students in a school-based setting. Working 37.5 hours per week during the school year, from August 7, 2025, through May 22, 2026, you will serve at one elementary school with self-contained and resource classrooms. The role emphasizes helping students develop essential skills to participate fully alongside their peers. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills. Modify tasks and environments to meet individual student needs effectively. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations. Collaborate and communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding students' developmental progress and support strategies. Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state occupational therapy license. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adapt to diverse student needs. Location: Elgin, Illinois serving an elementary school environment.
