American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a hospital-based role involving diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

Inpatient acute care hospital setting
Patient care areas include medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a flexible start time up to 8:00 am
Required to work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a weekday off
May be assigned to any therapy service line within the hospital to meet patient needs
No floating to sister facilities required
Uses EPIC for electronic medical records; experience required
No on-call requirements
Primary responsibilities include providing inpatient physical therapy services across various specialties
Responsibilities also include patient and family education, safety, and injury prevention
Black or grey scrubs required
Mandatory fit testing; facial hair must allow for proper mask fit
No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
Up to 7 days of time off permitted per 13-week contract; no time off allowed during the first week
Open to first-time travelers
Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
Travelers can stay for up to 12 months and must take a 6-month break before returning

Requirements

Current BLS certification required
Active state license required (license required if applicable)
Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience required
Strong communication skills and willingness to work with diverse patient populations
EPIC charting experience required
Physical ability to perform patient assessments, documentation, and education
