Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to support progress during sessions and beyond.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistency in patient care.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
