Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and senior demographics utilizing formal assessments and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and the broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs of each individual.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting key areas, including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Partner with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the therapy room.
• Occasionally engage in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards set by state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Maintain your expertise by participating in ongoing education and collaborating with peers in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), with ASHA certification pending if applicable.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
