Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A licensed Occupational Therapist is needed to support an elementary school in San Jose, CA, on a leave contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply specialized therapeutic skills to help children develop and enhance their fine motor, sensory, and self-care abilities within a dynamic educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide assessment, evaluation, and intervention for students requiring occupational therapy services Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapeutic goals in the classroom Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Support students in improving skills related to handwriting, sensory processing, motor coordination, and daily functional activities Participate in team meetings and provide input on individualized education plans (IEPs) Qualifications: Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of California Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an elementary school environment Knowledge of school-based services and educational regulations Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and documentation skills Flexibility and adaptability in handling leave contract assignments Location: San Jose, California This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to student success during a key developmental stage.
