This role involves delivering intensive respiratory care, assisting with patient transport within the facility, and operating under minimal supervision within the scope of your professional license. **Key Responsibilities:** - Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans. - Explain treatment procedures, tests, and equipment to patients and provide education upon discharge. - Conduct physician-prescribed routine treatments using various ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), oxygen systems, and aerosol devices. - Administer prescribed medications, ventilation, humidification, and oxygenation. - Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning procedures (including oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal suctioning). - Monitor oximetry and capnography in accordance with established policies. - Conduct routine evaluations of chest X-rays and assist with respiratory-related procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, chest tube placement). - Provide tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal. - Perform arterial punctures to assess ventilation effectiveness and report results as per policy. - Follow all laboratory testing protocols, including specimen handling and quality control measures, for hospitals with moderate complexity labs. - Execute cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines. - Set up, maintain, and operate mechanical ventilation systems. - Document relevant treatment information and communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient care. - Maintain accurate respiratory therapy records and ensure correct data entry. - Perform additional duties as assigned by supervising staff. **Behavioral Characteristics:** The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. **Guaranteed Hours:** Contract for 91 weeks --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
