Description

  • Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing standardized tests and observational methodologies.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet patient-specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives, both for immediate needs and future goals.
  • Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on various areas like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to implement comprehensive care strategies.
  • Facilitate education sessions for patients and families to encourage progress beyond therapy appointments.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and treatments to provide seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that complies with all state, federal, and institutional regulations.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment.
