Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Detroit, MI, for a full semester contract. This role offers a 35-hour workweek with 7-hour days, including dedicated time for paperwork, planning, and indirect tasks. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload typically ranging from 50 to 60 students across K-12, with an emphasis on elementary-aged children. Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district policies related to student progress and Medicaid billing. Utilize district systems for student information and service documentation including PowerSchool, MyStar, and EdPlan. Qualifications: Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology licensure required. Credentials accepted include SLP - CCC and SLP - Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates. Experience or familiarity with educational data systems such as PowerSchool, MyStar, or EdPlan preferred. Ability to work onsite throughout the contract period. Flexibility in working with various age groups, with assignments tailored to preferences when possible.
