Speech-Language Pathologist in Sterling Heights, MI

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full Semester Contract in K-12 School Setting This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist role offers a 35-hour workweek with 7-hour days, including dedicated time for paperwork, planning, and indirect activities. The position supports a diverse caseload across all grade levels, with a particular focus on elementary students. Flexibility regarding the age group served is valued, and efforts will be made to align placements with individual preferences when possible. Location: Sterling Heights, MI Key Responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload typically ranging from 50 to 60 students. Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student communication goals. Complete timely documentation, including progress notes and Medicaid billing. Utilize district systems such as PowerSchool (IEP management), MyStar (Student Information System), and EdPlan (Medicaid billing). Maintain on-site presence to deliver in-person services and support. Preferred Qualifications: Active Michigan SLP licensure is required. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience with PowerSchool, MyStar, and/or EdPlan systems preferred. Ability to manage a moderate caseload efficiently. Strong organizational and communication skills.
