Description

• Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and senior demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving short-term objectives and long-term communication, swallowing, or cognitive improvements.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions, focusing on language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to build integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to complement the therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines and protocols.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
