School Occupational Therapist

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services in a K-12 school setting in Chesapeake, VA. This is a contract position for the full academic school year (NSY). Location: Chesapeake, VA Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students in a K-12 educational environment Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support individualized student goals Develop and implement therapy plans that address students' functional needs and enhance their school participation Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines and regulations Participate in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning as necessary Qualifications: Valid state license to practice occupational therapy Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred Knowledge of school-based therapy regulations and practices Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage caseloads independently throughout the school year This contract position offers the opportunity to impact students' academic and functional success in a dynamic school environment.
