PRN Physical Therapist Assistant

Cedar Crest is seeking to hire a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team! Job Summary: A Physical Therapist Assistant assists in administering physical therapy to patients and residents in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist and the Therapy Director.
Responsibilities of a PTA at Cedar Crest:
Assist the physical therapist in providing treatment to residents with various conditions and injuries
Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the direction of the physical therapist
Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
Assist with resident transfers and mobility as needed
PTA Position Qualifications at Cedar Crest:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Certification or license as required by the State of WI to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
Proficient administrative and communication within department and facility.
Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline.
Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, AL, IL or LTC setting.
Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.
Prior EMR/computer experience
Physical Demands of a PTA at Cedar Crest:
Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, balance, and perform overhead activity without restriction or limitation.
