Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized evaluations and observation methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to address immediate objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that focus on communication abilities, language development, fluency, voice production, and swallowing functions.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop seamless care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to support their progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Perform periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring comprehensive continuity of care throughout the treatment experience.
• Keep precise and prompt records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to remain updated on advancements in your field.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment commencement.
