We also provide therapy in the natural environment, including homes, the community, and preschools. We are hiring for: Summerville, SC community position serving children in the daycares, home and clinic settings Ladson, SC position serving our largest clinic location Charleston, SC position serving our West Ashley clinic James Island and Johns Island, SC community position serving children in the daycares and home settings (part-time role) Our integrated Leadership approach provides you with both a direct manager for operational support and a Lead Speech Language Pathologist for clinical support, training, and documentation review - ensuring you have the tools and support needed to continue growing professionally. Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities: Evaluate hearing and speech/language test results and medical background information to diagnose and create individualized treatment plans for speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders. Identify patients who could benefit from AAC and trial various devices and support family to obtain medically necessary equipment. Successfully complete AAC evaluation reports, with clinical support. Accept, evaluate, and treat feeding patients Record therapy notes (SOAP), patient observations, evaluation reports, care plans (POCs), and discharge of clients Design, develop, and employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices and strategies. Instruct clients in techniques for more effective carryover of strategies and techniques. Develop individualized speech therapy exercise programs and home programs for families to implement, to facilitate generalization across settings. Ensure regular communication with parents or caregivers and educate/instruct patients and family members in strategies to facilitate progress. Speech-Language Pathologist Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited university with a master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), Communication Disorders (MCD) or equivalent program OR a current State of South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license (SC LLR). Must be licensed (or pursuing CF licensure) in the state of South Carolina with the SCLLR as an SLP and maintain the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association AAC & Feeding experience are a plus! Knowledge and understanding of children's developmental stages from ages 0-18 to properly analyze the growth, movement (motor), cognitive, and maturation process/transition between skill levels. Previous pediatric experience is required through employment or clinical rotation. Compensation and Pay Structure: Base Salary (range from $60,000 - $75,000) includes therapy sessions and administrative time (documentation, caregiver communication, etc.) for full-time W2 positions.
