Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on aiding communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care plans.
  • Engage with patients and their families, providing education and resources to facilitate skill application beyond the therapy room.
  • Participate in periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring smooth transitions in care.
  • Document patient progress with accuracy, in line with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in continual learning and professional development to stay abreast of innovations within the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting the position.
