Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations using recognized assessments and observational methods across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and long-lasting improvements in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to foster developmental progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Support rare inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with federal, state, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborative peer learning to stay abreast of the dynamic field.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
