Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational tools.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that align with both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy techniques focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide valuable education to patients and families, fostering their involvement in the therapeutic process beyond our sessions.
  • Facilitate inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.
  • Keep precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Education

  • Earned a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Possession of a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
