Description

• Assess patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups through standardized tests and observational evaluations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate development outside of therapy settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care continuity.
• Adhere to meticulous documentation practices aligned with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Continuously improve your expertise through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
