Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) School-Based

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team for the [insert school year, e.g., 20252026]. This is an on-site position supporting students in a K12 educational setting.

As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students improve their communication abilities. The ideal candidate is independent, organized, and passionate about making a difference in students lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, as outlined in their IEPs or intervention plans

  • Collaborate with supervising SLP to implement individualized treatment plans

  • Collect and document data on student progress toward speech/language goals

  • Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining organized records

  • Support a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication

  • Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff to help integrate speech goals into the classroom

  • Comply with all state and federal regulations, district policies, and ethical standards of practice

  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings as needed

Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Valid SLPA license/certification in the state of [insert state]

  • School-based experience preferred (not required)

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the supervising SLP
