Job Overview:
This position involves providing personalized speech and communication therapy to patients across various settings, including nursing centers, outpatient clinics, and home care. The professional will be responsible for designing and implementing rehabilitation plans to help patients improve speech, swallowing, and communication abilities while collaborating with peers and caregivers. The role requires a strong focus on fostering patient independence and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering effective and efficient rehabilitation services.
Designing and executing individualized treatment programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech, communication, and swallowing functions.
Providing training to patients and caregivers on the skills necessary to promote independence.
Collaborating with peers and other members of the healthcare team, including making appropriate referrals.
Maintaining an organized and adaptable approach to daily tasks and patient needs.
Requirements:
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field that is acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
A Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
Possession of a license, certification, or credentialing as required by the state of practice.
