Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support students from kindergarten through 5th grade in a K-12 school setting. This contract position, located in Grand Prairie, TX, offers a flexible schedule with approximately 8 hours per week during the fall semester, decreasing to 5 hours per week in the spring. The day of the week is very flexible, allowing for a good work-life balance. Responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy to primarily high-functioning K-5 students Deliver services in small groups of 1 to 3 students Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring Engage in teletherapy sessions as needed to accommodate student needs Qualifications/Desired Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school or healthcare settings Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery Experience as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP, school-based SLP, or SLPA is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently Benefits: Competitive compensation Health insurance options 401(k) match plan participation Flexible scheduling This opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners by providing targeted speech and language support in a supportive school environment.
